Sport 4 Life UK delivers sports-themed mentoring and employability support to young people aged 11-29. Its services provide the opportunity for these young people to prepare for, and move into, sustained employment, education or training - by improving their employability and key life skills. For young people aged 11-18 (still in education), the Sport 4 Life service delivers structured mentoring in schools, in a youth-led, needs-led and flexible approach. Young people can then, if needed, progress onto further practical activities (including structured sport sessions, accredited qualifications and social action) as part of the service offer. This initiative supports these young people to transform their key life skills, gain accredited qualifications, remain in education, and reduce the likelihood of becoming NEET in the future. For young people aged 18-29 (who are NEET), the Sport 4 Life service delivers structured mentoring, in a needs-led and flexible approach. They can also progress onto further practical activities (including structured sport sessions, accredited qualifications, social action, formal mock interviews, employability workshops and corporate engagement) as part of the service offer. This initiative supports these young people to transform their key life skills, gain accredited qualifications, and progress into sustained employment, education or training.
