We organise events to celebrate cultural diversity and engage local people in the planning and implementation. One of the key events we lead on is the Nowka Bais. (Bangladeshi Style Boat Race) was first held in Birmingham at Edgbaston Reservoir in 2015 and has proved to be extremely popular. The event is a great day out for local families, with stalls and a wide range of activities, including free sailing taster sessions throughout the day. The last event was attended by over 20,000 people from all over the country. Employment Master Class We work with a wide range of partners and employers to raise awareness of the opportunities that are available. These sessions are designed to inspire attendees and provide practical tips that will help participants to develop pathways into some of the city’s leading growth sectors such as Accountancy.
