About the organisation

The West Bromwich Mountaineering Club is a club run by and for mountaineers based in the West Midlands and surrounding areas. We have a diverse membership of over 200 people ranging from children to retirees who take part in a wide variety of mountaineering activities, including mountaineering, rock climbing, hill walking and camping. We welcome complete beginners and experienced mountaineers alike. The WBMC organises a wide range of mountaineering meets throughout the year. These include single day Coach Meets to mountaineering areas in England and Wales and longer trips to these areas and further afield. We also run a wide range of social events, including dinner meets, evening walks and mountaineering slide shows. We can be found every Thursday night from 9.00 pm at The Cricketers Arms in West Bromwich. Feel free to pop in and ask for the Mountaineering Club. (There is free unlimited parking after 6.00 pm in nearby Shaftesbury Street).
