Brushstrokes Community Project is a long‑established charity based in Smethwick, supporting refugees, asylum seekers and migrants across Sandwell, West Birmingham and Dudley. Established in 1999, Brushstrokes provides free, holistic support to help people navigate the challenges of settlement and prevent poverty, destitution and homelessness. Services include specialist advice on immigration, housing and welfare benefits; health inclusion and wellbeing support; ESOL and digital skills learning; employment and volunteering support; and practical assistance such as food, clothing and community activities. Brushstrokes works in close partnership with local authorities, the NHS and voluntary sector partners and is part of Father Hudson’s Caritas, delivering compassionate, inclusive support to some of the most vulnerable residents in the region.
