| Accessibility details | Fully accessible Our staff are there to support all users of this facility, please let us know if you need help. The centre has been specifically designed to help and support users with disabilities and includes the following facilities; Disabled parking and drop off points are located near to the main entrance. Easy access ramp and walkways with tactile paving and handrails. A tactile map of the building is located in reception. Colour contrast and braille signs for all key areas of building. Power assisted doors are located throughout the building. Disabled toilets and changing areas, the centre is also a Changing Places facility. Find out more about Changing Places on this link. The centre has a hearing induction loop. A Wayfinding audible navigation tool is in place to support visually impaired users. Hoist facilities are available in changing areas and for access to the hydrotherapy pool. Guide dogs are also welcome. A virtual signing service on a tablet device is also at the centre. This service is subject to availability. |

Portway Lifestyle Centre is an exciting new leisure facility for Sandwell, a vibrant and unique sports, health and wellbeing centre for the whole community and centre of excellence for people with disabilities. Sandwell residents with a disability may be eligible to apply for a Portway Pass.

About the organisation
Has a mission of creating an active Sandwell. Manages 9 leisure centres & 1 golf course. Provides a range of sport & fitness activities including fitness classes, fit'n'well gyms, swimming instruction,children's holiday activities. We have established a subsidary company, Sandwell Arts Trust, to manage The Public in West Bromwich on behalf of Sandwell MBC
