The Food Bank collects and stores food ready to give out to clients in crisis. We work with partner agencies who refer their clients to us. Following a referral from a partner agency we will provide enough food for three days for up to three visits per crisis. If the crisis continues, we will extend our support after talking with the referral agency. The food bank is open to all who find themselves in a crisis situation and unable to feed either themselves or their families.

About the organisation

The Food Bank collect and stores food ready to freely distribute to individuals or families in crisis (who cannot afford to feed themselves). Clients are referred to us by voluntary / statutory agencies, community groups and churches. Following a referral, we will give the client enough food for three days, which should enable other support measures to be put in place. If the crisis continues, we will continue to support the client. We are not a substitute for any agency/group/church we work with. It is our aim to provide breathing space for those in crisis. The West Bromwich Food Bank is a Christian organisation but will not turn away anyone in need and will not discriminate against individuals or families because of ethnicity, lifestyle, personal circumstances or religious beliefs. We believe that all are equal and valued in the sight of God.
