FREE Mental Health Awareness i-act training. UK’s leading established, evidence-based, Royal College of Psychiatrists accredited mental health & wellbeing awareness programme. Half Day training funded by Sandwell Council, Ideal for All have a range of free accredited courses available between December 2024 and March 2025. Delivered as face–to-face training sessions to the VCS workforce in Sandwell, for understanding and managing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. There are two versions of accredited i‑act training available for frontline VCS workers, Volunteers, Managers or Community group Leaders. Learners either access: • Understanding/Promoting Positive Mental Health And Wellbeing in Workplace (for staff, volunteers and service users) • Managing/Promoting Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing in Workplace (for Managers and Volunteer leaders) Training aims to support our VCS workforce to increase their awareness, intervene early and have supportive conversations, creating a more supportive culture. It aims to encourage staff to work together to support individuals, each other, and the communities of Sandwell, to prevent the deterioration of mental health and promote positive wellbeing. All participants receive a certificate of completion and course booklet to take away and support their ongoing development. (150+ page, evidence-based course manual/ toolkit and resources and literature pack and pin badge – one pack each per learner) Free Lunch and refreshments provided, catering to dietary needs. Fully accredited and accessible. • Half-day sessions delivered in community venues on your site or near you - fits around your role. • Builds awareness, confidence, and skills to deliver supportive conversations and interventions. • Aligns with UK mental health standards, including Healthy Sandwell’s Core competencies framework. • Certificate of attendance to support professional development, and 150+ page toolkit and resources. Core Topics Covered: • Understanding mental health and wellbeing and breaking stigma. • Practical tools: Safe & Well plans, 5 Ways to Wellbeing, and self-help strategies. • Navigating local resources: Route2Wellbeing, Healthy Sandwell, VCS partner support & BCHFT help. • Escalating support for individuals in crisis or at risk of suicide - links to Sandwell's plan. About the organisation

Ideal for All is a user-led organisation set up in 1996. It provides services to disabled, disadvantaged and elderly residents of Sandwell, to enhance skills, provide a route to employment, reduce social isolation and maintain independence. The Services are designed to provide solutions for Independent Living and are offered from the Independent Living Centre, a fully accessible building, situated at 100 Oldbury Road, Smethwick.
