Using the chair we will modify traditional yoga poses to work on mobilising and strengthening the joints, followed by breathing and meditation practices. Seated yoga is a great alternative for those that are less mobile or recovering from illness. Particularly those with arthritis, knee, and hip replacements. Sessions take place in an accessible venue and will be suitable for most bodies. Please feel free to stay for a hot drink and a chat with us after the session.

About the organisation
Body Mind Collective CIC is a not-for profit providing opportunities and resources for Sandwell residents to better their health and wellbeing. We strive to be affordable, accessible, and inclusive to people of differing ages, body sizes, ethnicities, gender identities, and sexualities. We endeavour to remove physical and mental barriers for those with physical disabilities and impairments, and for those with additional mental and emotional needs. In our group yoga sessions, we explore movement, breathing and meditation techniques in order that Sandwell residents can experience some of the benefits of yoga. This may include: • Improve physical mobility, strength, and posture. • Better manage emotions such as stress, fear, anxiety, and frustration • Learn ways to relax and improve sleep. • Increase energy levels. • Improve digestion. • Regulate breathing. Additionally, Body Mind Collective hosts sessions for local businesses, charities, and events, with any profits re-invested into the local community. We secure private and public sector funding to deliver programmes to Sandwell residents at a lower cost.
